Changes in Spotify premium
In an advisory, Spotify announced that Globe will be removed as a payment method for the premium plan.
Globe will be removed as a payment method by July 31, 2024,” it said in the announcement.
Users using this payment method are required to change their payment option to GCash or other channels if they wish to continue their premium subscription.
If you are one of those affected, you’ll have to change your payment method as soon as possible.
If your payment mode is in a plan, you’ll need to coordinate with Globe about anything payment-related. Here’s how:
1. Go to your account page.
2. Under Account, choose Manage your plan.
3. Check the contact link under Payment.
To change your payment details:
1. Go to your partner’s website to cancel your current Premium plan.
Tip: Find their details on your account page under Payment.
2. When your Spotify account switches to free, sign up for any Premium plan.
For those changing their payment mode from Globe, they can opt for other payment methods, such as debit or credit card, ShopeePay, UnionPay, and PayPal.
