vivo announces the Y28s 5G smartphone is now available exclusively via postpaid plans of Smart.

The device is being offered through Smart Signature Plans+ 999 which comes with unlimited 5G data for 12 months, 20GB of open access data, unlimited texts and calls to all networks and landline numbers, data rollover, and a monthly PHP 149 discount on any Netflix subscription plan.

vivo noted that the buyers of Y28s 5G Plan will just need to pay PHP 200 per month with a downpayment of PHP 2,900 which is spread over a 24-month contract.

The features

To recap, the phone uses a 6.56-inch LCD (IPS) screen with 1612 x 720 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 840 nits peak brightness, and 83 percent NTSC color.

Inside, it is powered by the 2.4GHz 6nm MediaTek octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage.

For battery, it has 5,000mAh capacity with 15W fast charging.

In terms of camera, it has 50MP + 2MP rear shooter and 8MP selfie camera.

Other features are IP54 dust and water resistance, single firing speaker, side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Connectivity features 5G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 skin on top.
