To complete the Reno12 Series 5G, OPPO announced that the Reno12 F 5G will launch in the Philippines on August 20, 2024.
Similar to the Reno12 5G and Reno12 Pro 5G, the Reno12 F 5G also has the All-Around Armor structure designed to withstand the rigors of daily use as well as the IP64 rating for dust and water spray resistance on different angles.
The handset also highlights a luxurious-looking "Cosmos Ring Design and Halo light" inspired by classic wristwatches. It is available in trendy Amber Orange or Olive Green colorways.
The device is 7.69mm thick for the Olive Green version and 7.76mm thick for the Amber Orange variant.
In front, it uses the 6.67-inch AGC DT-Star2 protected Flat OLED screen w/ 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 92.2 percent and 2,100 nits of peak brightness.
The device is powered by the 6nm Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging tech.
It also has a 50MP f/1.8 autofocus main camera paired with an 8MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 macro helper. For selfies, it has a 32MP snapper.
According to OPPO, this phone has the upgraded AI Erase 2.0 tech with "Remove People" capability for easier and faster removal of photobombers and AI Studio pre-installed to let its users transform into their own digital avatars.
Moreover, the phone has a 360-degree Surround Antenna solution consisting of nine individual antennas that can provide robust connectivity. This is the AI LinkBoost solution allowing its users to stay connected even in challenging conditions.
It also has BeaconLink enhances Bluetooth uplink capabilities by 300 percent, enabling device-to-device voice calls over Bluetooth at a distance of up to 200 meters in a completely disconnected environment.
The device also has 50-Month Fluency Protection allowing the phone to stay smooth for a long time.
