OPPO Reno12 F 5G arrives in PH: All-Round Armour, Dimensity 6300, GenAI, PHP 18,999 SRP

A new "budget-friendly" AI phone arrives

This is the lower-end sibling of the Reno12 Series 5G handset that features a fresh design, similar durability feats, and AI capabilities at a more wallet-friendly price point.

To recap, the device features an All-Around Armor structure for better durability, an IP64 dust plus water resistance rating, and the "Cosmos Ring Design and Halo Light" with notifications. It is available in Amber Orange or Olive Green colorways.

In front, it uses the 6.67-inch AGC DT-Star2 protected Flat OLED screen w/ 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, screen-to-body ratio of 92.2 percent, and 2,100 nits of peak brightness.

Internally, the device features an energy-efficient chip, the 6nm Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor. However, this is a little weaker than the Dimensity 7050 of the Reno11 F 5G. It is paired with GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging tech.

45W is a slight downgrade from the 67W of Reno11 F 5G as well.

For cameras, it uses a newer 50MP f/1.8 autofocus main camera paired with an 8MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 2MP f/2.4 macro helper.

In front, it has a 32MP shooter with autofocus.

The highlight of its AI is the AI Erase 2.0 tech with "Remove People" capability for easier and faster removal of photobombers together with the OPPO AI Studio pre-installed to let its users transform into their own digital avatars.

Like the Reno12 Series 5G, it comes with the AI LinkBoost 360-degree Surround Antenna solution consisting of nine individual antennas that can provide robust connectivity together with the BeaconLinktech that Bluetooth uplink capabilities by 300 percent for device-to-device voice calls over Bluetooth up to 200 meters even without mobile signal.

The company is also promising a 50-Month Fluency Protection allowing the phone to stay smooth for a long time.
