Increasing interest in GStocks

Following its launch last year, GCash's GStocks PH has seen significant growth, with over 800,000 users now registered. The company said this shows the increasing interest in stock market engagement in the platform.

This milestone underscores GCash’s commitment to making investment opportunities more accessible to Filipinos across the country, GCash Vice President and Group Head of wealth management and new businesses Winsley Bangit said.

In addition, through GStocks PH, GCash has helped boost the number of Philippine investors where one in five Philippine Stock Exchange accounts trade via the app, he said.

Aside from this, GCash said it has made wealth-building accessible, enabling users to generate PHP 12 million in gains through GStocks PH.

Last year, GCash collaborated with AB Capital Securities to bring GStocks PH to its users.

The PSE's annual report shows an 11.3 percent increase in stock market accounts in 2023 compared to the previous year.

GStocks PH boosted online accounts to 80 percent of the total stock market accounts.

Online accounts increased 21.2 percent to 1.53 million.

Aside from GStocks PH, over 10.9 million users have benefited from streamlined savings management through the GSave tab.
