OnePlus has announced the Open Apex Edition featuring a new Crimson Shadow color.
The brand says that the OnePlus Open Apex Edition pays homage to the classic Hasselblad 503CW 60 Years Victor Red Edition by combining fine vegan leather with a fascinating design that oozes timeless appeal.
As you can see the foldable boasts a Dark Red colorway on its faux leather material. It still has that large circular camera bump with a dark accent and glossy finish.
On the side, you will see the Golden colored alert slider which comes with a unique function of turning on the VIP mode.
Activating the slider places the phone in VIP mode and locks the security chip, resulting in an entirely secure and private environment in which all microphones and cameras are disabled, providing a truly VIP degree of privacy and protection.
Speaking of security, the OnePlus Open Apex Edition protects highly sensitive data from the start by providing independent, physically isolated storage and exclusive protection for essential files and personal information. The independent security chipset has also been certified for CC EAL5+, and the NFC security chipset for CC EAL6+ and EMVCo, ensuring an extraordinary level of security that exceeds all expectations.
The rest are pretty much the same as the OnePlus Open. To recap, it features a 6.31-inch FHD+ OLED LTPO panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a ceramic guard. The main screen comes with a 7.82-inch 2K 2440 x 2268 LTPO AMOLED with 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2,800 nits of peak brightness, and Ultra-Thin Glas (UTG).
Inside, the phone uses a 3.2GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
Along with the Hasselblad branding, the camera is outfitted with a 48MP Sony LYTIA T808 Pixel stacked CMOS sensor with 1/1.43" size, OIS + Sony IMX 581 ultra-wide 114-degree sensor with macro capability + 64MP telephoto camera with 3x optical, 6x in-sensor zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom.
