Redmi Watch 5 Active launched: HyperOS, 18-day battery, and Bluetooth calling

Redmi has announced the Watch 5 Active bringing some upgrades and HyperOS on the smartwatch.

Redmi Watch 5 Active is now official

As its main highlight, this is the first Redmi wearable to feature Xiaomi's HyperOS thus providing its users a more seamless interaction with similar software phones.

The Redmi Watch 5 Active also appeared in a Silver or Black metallic frame with a square dial and curved corners. It also comes with a physical button on the right side and TPU material straps of similar colors.

In front, it uses a wide 2-inch display with 500 nits of peak brightness so users can experience better visibility under sunlight and a convenient usage experience.

The features

The device offers a 24/7 heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, stress, and sleep trackers. It can also monitor menstrual cycles and includes a breathing reminder. Additionally, this wearable supports tracking for over 140 sports modes and features auto-detection for certain activities.

Another highlight is the promise of up to 18 days of battery on a single charge with its 470mAh capacity.

The Redmi Watch 5 Active also sports a built-in speaker and microphone which means you can do Bluetooth voice calling. This is an essential feature especially if you can't reach out on your phone like when traveling, doing other errands, or similar activities.

The device supports 5ATM water resistance and has also received IPX8 certification.
