This means that it could be as big as most regular tablets, not just mini tablets compared to most foldable phones today.

The base display is 6.43-inch. Based on the photos that TECNO shared, it is a little thicker than a regular smartphone at 11mm. But, that is still considered slim for a tri-fold foldable smartphone.

The brand also claims that its battery is just 0.25mm thin, the thinnest battery cover on any smartphone. In comparison, the current thinnest is 0.45mm.

According to TECNO, the device has been tested for 300,000 folds, 100,000 more than other foldable phones. It also has a dual-hinge mechanism to minimize the crease in the middle portion of its screen.

Some of its use cases include a Laptop mode with the bottom half of its display as a keyboard a tent mode for a dual-screen face-to-face conversation with live translations, and a full 10-inch screen that supports a multi-window mode to allow users to have three or more apps running at the same time.

The rest of the specs are yet to be revealed.

Like most concept phones, there is no info on when will a device with this tech available.

But for sure, it is a promising concept that we might see in future foldable phones.
