What's in Apple Intelligence?
On September 10 (Philippine time), Apple revealed its latest iPhone 16 series, which the tech giant said is built for its Apple Intelligence.
According to the tech giant, Apple Intelligence is the personal intelligence system that puts generative models right at the core of your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It powers new features to help users communicate, work, and express themselves.
One of the features that will be enhanced by Apple Intelligence is Writing Tools which will allow users to proofread text, rewrite different versions until the tone and wording are right, and summarize selected text with a tap. They will also be able to generate a short version of a long group thread and minimize unnecessary distractions with prioritized notifications.
Apple Intelligence also aims to boost the creativity of Apple users with Image Playground. This allows users to create an entirely new image based on a description, suggested concepts, and even a person from your Photos library. Users can easily adjust the style and make changes to match a Messages thread, their Freeform board, or a slide in Keynote.
Experiment with different concepts and try out image styles like animation, illustration, and sketching in the dedicated Image Playground app. Create custom images to share with friends in other apps or on social media, Apple said.
Apple users will also be able to create a Genmoji by providing a description. They can even pick someone from their Photos library and create a Genmoji that looks like them.
Apple Intelligence also supports Image Wand which can transform a rough sketch into a related image in the Notes app.
Siri is also getting an upgrade with Apple Intelligence. With a new design, richer language understanding, and the ability to type to Siri whenever it’s convenient, communicating with Siri is more natural now. With a deeper understanding of your needs, Siri can provide more personalized and helpful assistance.
In terms of privacy, Apple Intelligence is integrated into the core of the iPhone, iPad, and Mac through on-device processing so it’s aware of the user’s personal information without collecting personal information. Through the Private Cloud Compute, Apple Intelligence can draw on larger server-based models, running on Apple silicon, to handle more complex requests while ensuring privacy.
Apple Intelligence is starting in beta in the US later this year. It will be free to use and compatible with the following devices:

It'll also come with localized English soon. More languages like Chinese, French, Spanish, and more will be supported next year as well.
