From entry to professionals?

The newest member of the family is the all-new HERO. It is the brand's smallest, lightest, simplest and most affordable 4K camera with a screen. The body has a built-in mounting finger and 35 percent less volume and 46 percent less mass than the bigger HERO13 Black. It weighs only 8 grams.

It may be smaller but it is completely waterproof at up to 16 feet or 5 meters. It has a touchscreen LCD which supports taps and swipes while the one-button works as the record button.

The HERO can capture up to 12MP stills, 4K video or 2.7K 60 fps slow motion video. Using the Quik App, users can also grab 8Mp frames from the 4K video. It supports a 16:9 aspect ratio and HyperSmooth Video Stabilization. The Enduro battery is powering the camera, rated for 100 minutes of video recording on a single charge.

The bigger HERO13 Black now captures 5.3K60fps video, up to 13x burst slo-mo or up to 400 fps in 720p, up to 5.3K 120fps and up to 900p at 360 fps. Powering the new HERO13 Black is a redesigned 1,900mAh Enduro battery with 10 percent larger capacity which should deliver extended run times in ALL weather conditions. It is rated for 90 minutes of continuous recording at 4K30fps.

It has built-in mounting fingers and 1/4-20 mounting threads to allow three different ways of mounting the GoPro.

The HERO13 Black also features faster WiFi 6, Professional-Level Hybrid Log Gamma or HLG HDR video support, GPS + Performance stickers, and additional customizable Audio Tuning.

GoPro is also introducing several new HB-Series lenses that are compatible with the GoPro-patented HyperSmooth Stabilization. Each mod is automatically detected by the camera and optimizes its settings.

The Ultra-Wide Lens Mod offers over 177 degrees of field of view and supports 1:1, 16:9, and 9:16 aspect ratios. The Macro Lens mod allows users to get 4x closer to the subject when compared to the standard GoPro Lens. The Anamorphic Lens Mod offers ultra-wide angle artistic footage with less distortion and is supposedly best with the dramatic 21:9 aspect ratio. It can add cinematic lens flares. The brand claims that the built-in camera de-squeezing makes it easy to capture and edit anamorphic content.

Each Lens mod is sold separately.

Lastly, GoPro also introduced the new Contacto Magnetic Door and Power Cable Kit. This kit magnetically attaches to a specially designed side door for the HERO13 Black which allows for a quick, simple, and weatherproof way to connect to an external power source.
