According to data from HUAWEI Mall, the Chinese tech giant has received over 3.2 million pre-orders for its trifold smartphone.

HUAWEI began pre-orders for its new Mate XT on September 7 just days before the launch of Apple’s latest line, the iPhone 16 series.

The company has yet to reveal the price of Mate XT. Initial information showed that it is available in two colors (dark black and reddish brown) and has two variants (16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB).

Pre-orders will end on September 19. The official sale of HUAWEI's Mate XT begins on September 20.

According to Counterpoint Research, HUAWEI is currently the world's largest foldable smartphone maker.

Meanwhile, Apple revealed its iPhone 16 line on September 10 at 1 AM, Philippine time. This still has 4 variants ranging from iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max, all of which will have a minimum of 8GB RAM and will feature Apple Intelligence, the brand's term for its own AI.

  1. I already know that gimmick phone is going to flop. Fake pre-orders (nobody in their right mind would buy a $2,800 phone), bad marketing, CCP product, and still no google. what a petty move that huawei is trying to ride the hype from the iPhone 16's launch date.
