Moral lessons in the game can be applied in real life
The Diablo franchise has been a popular dark-themed game since the 90s. Surprisingly, a gamer priest has been playing the title since its first inception.
Father Antonio Zabala, a Priest and College Administrator at San Sebastian College in the Philippines shares that "Diablo (the real devil) is a representation of the struggles of every people".
He added that "daily making choices to combat evil makes him realize that's how we face life". To become aware that there's an actual evil lurking in the world. The Priest also mentions that the game itself provides a moral lesson.
Once you realize this lesson, you learn how to apply them in real life". Diablo resonates with my being a religious priest. I help people in their struggles. In the same manner, Diablo characters help people in the game, all in the name of doing good, said Father Antonio
Inside a character named "Nyrelle" is full of anger and hatred due to the death of her mother. The priest continued that he also encounters people with the same emotion and that it's up to the counseling side of his ministry to convince such people to be more "forgiving". As you can see that's his tactic of fighting evil, "by doing good".
Meanwhile, Father Antonio also shared that "Diablo" (game itself), resonates with them (priests) because they evangelize to fight evil in their lives.
Among the characters that he can relate with is the "Spiritborn" class as they are chosen beings to vanquish the devil.

New class Spiritborn |
This class has the ability to gain mystical powers from spirit animals, providing players with a wide variety of playstyles made to suit personal tastes.
Overall the priest was really "struck" with regard to the parallelism between what is happening in real life and in the game story itself.
In terms of character, Father Antonio also highlighted that he prefers to play Barbarian class, as he noted that you must "have no mercy" with regard to eliminating evil.
And that's how I came to like the Barbarian. Storyline, finding the lessons [in it], and there are instances that I could use them in my classes when I teach, the priest added
The game also has a new region called "Nahantu", this is where players can explore jungles and its ancient civilization, although players must watch out for hidden dangers along the way.
Other things to expect on the update are an expanded storyline, and multiplayer experiences where you can run dungeons with your friends to beat strong enemies.
Going back, Father Antonio ultimately wished gamers to find the moral lesson and apply these things to their daily lives to be successful and happy.
