Tech giant HUAWEI recently transformed 5th Avenue at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to showcase its latest innovative devices.

HUAWEI "Tech with Love" showcase
The event that happened last November 9 to 10, 2024 dubbed "Tech with Love" welcomed over 20,000 visitors. It showcased its Pet Panda Wonderland pop-up featuring the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series, HUAWEI WATCH D2, and HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2".

During the event, BGC goers were treated with cute 3D Pet Panda installations which were designed to uplift spirits and promote emotional well-being.
Those who attended were able to explore HUAWEI's interactive stations dedicated to health, fitness, and artistic expression while enjoying the joyful ambiance created by HUAWEI's playful Pet Panda, featured in the emotional wellbeing assistant of the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Series.

The GCash Watch Pay is the first-ever GCash QR code payment option on a smartwatch. This feature also allows HUAWEI users to send and receive money, buy load, and even pay for their online purchases using their smartwatches.
The feature started rolling out on HUAWEI smartwatches last November 9, 2024.
HUAWEI said that all its smartwatches will have said feature by November 15. iOS users will get the Watch Pay by December 15.
Guests also tried the "The Only Emotion That Matters" interactive station where attendees took a quick and fun mood assessment. The Pet Panda reflected their emotional state based on their responses.
Also, HUAWEI had the "Let's Light Up Our Rings Together" station where they could pedal on stationary bikes to complete each ring and get close to their fitness goals.
HUAWEI also showcased the HUAWEI WATCH D2 with next-generation ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). This watch delivers 24-hour blood pressure monitoring to users’ wrists, made possible with the latest HUAWEI TruSense System, and has a mechanical airbag to provide precise vitals and blood pressure measurements that don't miss a beat.
At the HUAWEI's "Every Heartbeat Makes TruSense" zone, attendees were able to instantly measure their blood pressure. In a tap, users were able to generate a comprehensive Health Glance report covering nine key body indicators, including heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, stress levels, skin temperature, ECG, and vascular elasticity.

HUAWEI also had the "Go Paint Your Imagination" station featuring the powerful HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2" flagship tablet. This is the company's top-of-the-line productivity tablet boasting a dual OLED PaperMatte display and PC-level capabilities.
At the station, guests explored digital painting and used the comprehensive set of artistic tools on the GoPaint app to bring their ideas to life with vibrant visuals.

HUAWEI also invited Filipino creatives to send their "Creative by Nature" themed entries for the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity 2024.
The activity encourages creatives and digital artists from across the globe to showcase their graphic, visual, and poster design skills. The participants may enter categories like Sci-Fi Art, Design & Fashion, Narrative Art, Cutting Edge Paintings, and Digital Watercolor & Ink.
John Park, the concept artist for "The Mandalorian" and "Avatar: Way of the Water," renowned illustrator and Forbes Under 30 (Art and Style) honoree Victo Ngai, "Avengers: Endgame" senior concept artist Pablo Dominguez, and Marco La Mantia, the digital creative director at HUAWEI Milan Aesthetic Research Center, are part of this year's jury panel tasked with selecting the top 20 Honourable Mentions.
Each 20 winners will receive a USD 1,000 (around PHP 58.7K) cash prize together with a set of honorary incentives including art exhibition opportunities and media coverage.
The winning entries will also be featured in HUAWEI apps such as Themes wallpaper, and on HUAWEI merchandise. The winners and the exhibition of winning artworks will be announced in 2025.
