Performance
|
At the furthest point of our house with multiple concrete walls in between we got 170+Mbps with 5 ping |
The ARCHER GE800 not only works on 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz but also works with the latest 6.0GHz 'fast lane' frequency.
What impressed us right away was the wider coverage range of 105 feet given that it was a single router. (not connected nor is it part of the mesh network). Normally this wide coverage would need two or more mesh nodes.
We ran speed tests from 8 to 12 meters away from the router as our house isn't that large. We were consistently getting around 450+Mbps up to 540Mbps with ping ranging from 3 to 6.
Fast and stable connection
We were getting the fastest results (538Mbps+) when we were near the router and when there were no physical obstructions in sight.
When moved to a space where there was a concrete wall between us and the router we would get a result of 287+Mbps. But when we moved to the furthest walls of the house with the most obstructions and concrete walls in between we got 170+Mbps at 5 pings.
This is unprecedented. We are getting fast speeds even through multiple concrete walls. It sometimes performed better than our home mesh network. Tri-Band and 6GHz are for real.

Style and Performance? |
In our experience, the WiFi 7 powered by the TP-Link Archer GE800 proves to be one of the best-performing consumer routers we have ever gotten our hands on.
Not only does it have a crazy range of 105 feet or 32 meters (bigger than the length of our house), it consistently gives a ping range of 3 to 6. We were consistently getting 400 to 500Mbps when near the router even with walls in between. It was only when we went to the furthest points of the house with a lot of obstruction were we got the lowest speed range of 170+Mbps.
If you can afford it, we highly recommend building a home network with the Archer GE800 because of its eye-catching design, mesmerizing RGB, and consistently fast performance.
