Philippines: top smartphone vendors, Q3 2024 (sell-in shipments)
|
Top smartphone vendors, Q3 2024 according to Canalys |
- Transsion - 33 percent unit share, 49 percent annual growth
- OPPO - 16 percent unit share, 91 percent annual growth
- realme - 16 percent unit share, 34 percent annual growth
- Xiaomi - 12 percent unit share, 50 percent annual growth
- Samsung - 11 percent unit share, 42 percent annual growth
The top brand is still Transsion Holdings, the company behind TECNO, Infinix, and itel which are known for making strong value-for-money smartphones. During the period, TECNO has several affordable yet innovative phones from the SPARK and CAMON Series while Infinix bannered its new NOTE and HOT bang-for-the-buck handsets.
OPPO is the main surprise here. The brand was active in releasing entry-level A Series smartphones like the OPPO A6 and OPPO A3 built with durability and reliability in mind. They also launched the entire camera-focused Reno12 Series recently.
realme told us that they sold plenty of NOTE and C Series handsets during the quarter. Its new camera-focused realme 13 Pro Series 5G probably helped as well.
Other notable brands not in the top 5 are vivo, HONOR, and HUAWEI.
