HUAWEI Mate X6: The "industry-leading" foldable is launching in PH in January 2025

On its official Facebook page, tech giant HUAWEI confirmed that the Mate X6 will launch in the Philippines in January 2025.

Confirmed: HUAWEI's newest premium foldable will go official in the Philippines!

To those who missed it, the HUAWEI Mate X6 is the company's newest premium foldable smartphone with improved durability while maintaining a slim form factor at just 9.85mm. The device is 156.6 x 73.78 mm and weighs 239 grams in total.

HUAWEI said that it has an aviation-grade aluminum middle frame, 1900 Mpa ultra-high strength steel hinge, and IPX8 water resistance.

The cover screen is a 6.45-inch 3D Quad-Curved OLED LTPO with a resolution of 2440 x 1080 pixels and it is protected by the Kunlun Glass 2nd Generation.

When unfolded, you will see a 7.93-inch flexible OLED display with a 2440 x 2240 resolution. This display has a carbon fiber inner screen plate to counteract pressures.

HUAWEI didn't mention the exact processor they used. But, it is equipped with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

The battery capacity is 5,110mAh and it charges via USB-C 66W SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge.

On the circular camera module, you will find a 50MP f/1.4-4.0 variable aperture RYYB main camera, 40MP f/2.2 RYYB ultra-wide-angle camera, 48MP f/3.0 RYYB 4x periscope camera, and an Ultra Chroma Camera with 1,500,000 spectral channels, and an LED flash.

The device also has an 8MP f/2.4 selfie camera on the cover screen and an 8MP f/2.2 selfie snapper when unfolded.

Other features of the foldable include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2 × 2 MIMO, HE160, 1024 QAM, 8 Spatial-stream Sounding MU-MIMO. It also has 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2 BLE with LDAC + L2HC lossless audio support, NFC, complete GPS bans, and dual SIM slots.

Globally, the HUAWEI Mate X6 runs with EMUI 15 skin. This means that Android apps are still supported.
