MediaTek explained Generative AI's role in achieving this. The firm created the Genio IoT platform where smart devices will have more natural responsive AI interactions.

The chip maker added that it's like having a personal assistant who can assist and be empathetic providing companionship to elderly family members. There will be realistic language interaction where users don't need to memorize specific commands or navigate controls on their screens, just casually talk to the AI and it will precisely interpret, understand, and respond.

Furthermore, it said that smart homes can even know if the users will go to bed tweaking the lights at their home, secure doors, and even regulate room temperatures without commanding these IoT devices.

Users can also expect seamless integration between smart devices like security cameras, sensors, TVs, thermal control systems, smart hubs, smartphones, tablets, PCs, and  Laptops. Simplifying and removing the hassles when these gadgets don't play well together.

Moreover, MediaTek said future smart homes will be more personalized as they can be customized to adapt to user's needs such as setting the mood for relaxation, preparing for workouts, or catering to users day to day tasks.
