Recently, a student-passenger of Grab made an allegation that one of the ride-hailing app's partner drivers sexually harassed her.

Grab already conducted an investigation and has released a statement regarding the matter.

In a statement shared by reports, Grab said its review of the "audio protect" recording from the trip, the driver's profile, and performance history showed "no conclusive evidence to support the allegations or indicate any malicious intent."

Grab said it already reached out to the passenger's family and the driver-partner separately to share its findings.

Following this development, the driver's account has been reactivated. Further, he will be compensated for the earnings lost during the suspension period.

Grab assured that it takes "all concerns and allegations with utmost seriousness."

Incidents like this remind us of the responsibility we have to ensure safety, build trust, and create a respectful environment for all our users, the company said.

It said it will continuously improve its safety features and reporting mechanisms, as well as work closely with all its stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of safety, respect, and accountability.
