Nintendo Switch 2 is finally real!

The short video reveals the official design. It now looks to have a bigger display with thin bezels which likely hints at an OLED panel (hopefully). The body seems to feature a matte finish all over and comes in a classic Gray colorway.

Furthermore, the kickstand was revamped too and even allows users to bend it way lower for more variety of viewing angles.

Nintendo also tweaked the Joy-Cons with more ergonomical shape, less colorful sticks and a new way of attaching them to the console using magnets instead of rail system.

The video ended with a new Mario Kart game coming for the Switch 2. Meanwhile, Nintendo also says the upcoming console is going to support backward compatibility (digital and physical). That's good news since the old Switch has a vast library of games to play with.

In terms of hardware, the company did not reveal any details just yet. There are leaks that the Switch 2 will be using an 8-core CPU with Cortex A78 with unknown L1/L2/L3 cache sizes.

For graphics, leaks suggest it will use a custom NVIDIA T239 Ampere based on the RTX 30 series. It is said to have 1,534 CUDA cores, 1 Graphics Processing Cluster (GPC), 12 Streaming Multiprocessors, 6 Texture Processing Clusters, 48 Gen 3 Tensor cores and 2x Ray-Tracing cores. It is also reported to support DLSS AI rendering for a better gaming experience.

In layman's terms, theoretically, the Switch 2 could produce a slightly PS4 level of performance on handheld mode and PS4 Pro-like output on docked mode atleast based on several reports.

What do you guys think?
