The Invites app gives the host full control over the event details, invitations, and RSVPs. Invitations can be shared via links, allowing guests to respond through the app or the web without requiring Apple ID or iCloud+ subscriptions. Attendees can also manage their visibility and exit events at any time.
Users can personalize invitations by selecting images from their photo library or from Apple's curated collection of themed backgrounds. Integrated Maps and Weather features provide guests with event directions and real-time weather forecasts.
The App includes shared Music Playlists and Shared Albums, which enable attendees to upload photos and videos, preserving memories in one place. Apple Music subscribers can create collaborative playlists that guests can access directly through the app.
Alongside Apple Intelligence, the app streamlines invitation design allowing users to generate unique visuals with Image Playground by incorporating personal photos and captions. The writing tools assist in writing a captivating and well-structured invitation message.
iCloud+ subscribers gain several additional features such as:
- Expanded Cloud Storage for higher-resolution photos, videos, and files.
- Private Relay for enhanced browsing privacy.
- Hide My Email for generating randomized email addresses
- HomeKit Secure video for personalized home security footage
- Custom email domains for personalized iCloud addresses.
- Family Sharing allows up to 5 people to share an iCloud+ subscription at no extra cost.
Apple Invites is now available as a free download from the Apple App Store for iPhones with iOS 18 or later. Users can also access the service via the web URL: icloud.com/invites. Some features may vary depending on the region or language.
