The new Infinix NOTE 50 Pro is arriving soon, and here is an early look at the new entry-level CODM gaming smartphone with a premium build and ultra-fast charging.
 |
Unique rear camera module |
With a 6.78-inch display and a body measuring 163.26 x 74.43 x 7.32 mm, the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro is tall yet slim. It has an eye-catching design and a unique camera module.
On paper, it boasts a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate, a Mali-G57 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,200mAh battery with 90W fast charging via USB-C.
The phone is equipped with a 50MP main rear camera and an 8MP secondary camera, while in front is a 32MP selfie shooter.
At first glance, the phone seems to appeal to budget-conscious smartphone buyers who want a nice-looking phone and good gaming performance but do not need 5G.
Let's take a closer look.
Unboxing/Accessories
 |

The case freebie is unique and nice

Build Quality/Design

Infinix NOTE 50 Pro's rear design |
As previously mentioned, the new Infinix NOTE 50 Pro is stunningly slim and is eye-catching because of the purple color and unique camera module.
This phone is available in Titanium Grey, Shadow Black, and Racing Edition colors.
The device boasts a flat glass rear and front panel that sandwiches a metal frame with microcurves on the corners, the first in its price category with such premium materials.
The front panel is glossy, while the rear panel is frosted. Without the flat metal frame in the middle, the phone is slippery because of the glass panels. We recommend wearing the included case right away.
The rear camera module stands out as it takes up nearly a third of the back of the phone. It has a raised portion with a glossy mirror finish.

Infinix NOTE 50 Pro's display |
The device also has a flat metal frame with microcurves on the corners. It is surprisingly lightweight at just 198 grams.
Moreover, it has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Super slim and premium build for the expected price
It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 2436 x 1080 resolution, an up to 144Hz refresh rate, a 1,300 nits peak brightness, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a 2,160Hz PWM dimming. These are impressive numbers on paper and in real life for the price.
There is no mention of glass protection, but it does support Always-On features.
An added benefit is that Infinix is claiming that the panel can detect taps and gestures even if the user's hands are wet or greasy.

Top and bottom
|
Like previous generations, it features JBL-tuned stereo speakers. One is on top, alongside the antenna lines, microphone, and IR blaster. The second speaker is at the bottom alongside the antenna lines, USB-C port, microphone, and SIM tray.
 |
SIM tray with red rubber gasket |
The SIM tray accommodates up to two nanoSIMs. It has a rubber gasket for the IP64 dust and water resistance.
 |
Left and right |
On the left side of the phone are two antenna lines, while on the right are two more antenna lines, the metal volume rocker, and the metal power button. The power button has a slit that allows users to identify it by touch.
 |
Rear cameras |
At the back of the phone are the aforementioned 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with an LED flash. At the front is the 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera.
The stock camera app comes with modes such as AI CAM, Portrait, Video, Vlog, Street Snap, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Sky Shop, Pro, Panorama, Super Macro, DocumentsWide Selfie, Super Night, Timelapse, Dual Video, and AIGC Portrait.
Users can quickly transition from 0.6x, 1x, and 2x crops.
The Pro mode allows controls for ISO (100-6400), SS (1/1500 to 30 seconds), White Balance, AF, Metering, and EV (+-2).

Below the camera is the Bio-Active Halo multi-color mini-LED, which is an AI-powered lighting system that supposedly provides dynamic LED lighting effects for notifications, charging, and calls.
If you press and hold the power key, it will summon Infinix's One-Tap Infinix AI (Folax) with DeepSeek integration. It includes features such as AI Studio, AI Eraser, AI Writing, AI Wallpaper, AIGC Sketch-to-Image, AI communication, and more.
As of the moment
 |
AnTuTu and GeekBench |
Like previous generations, the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro aims to break the conventions of what you can expect a phone to feature in its price range.
Mostly happy with the experience so far!
Its unique and eye-catching design, paired with never-before-seen high-quality yet lightweight materials with durability feats such as Ultra-Resilient ArmorAlloy Design and IP64 dust and water resistance, makes it both stylish and durable.
It has a bright 1,300 nits peak brightness FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 144Hz variable refresh rate, too. Infinix is even boasting about it being an Eye-Care feature with its 2,160Hz PWM dimming support. An added feature is that the panel will still pick up taps even if your hands are wet or greasy.
Its 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra SoC may be a concern for some, but it put out a reasonable 440,091 points in AnTuTu, and the real-life performance of the phone is decent for the expected price. They even paired it with an 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, an 8GB virtual RAM (up to 16GB Extended RAM), and large 256GB internal storage.
Moreover, the company impressively added a larger 5,200mAh battery with legit 90W fast wired charging, allowing users to enjoy the device longer.
At the back is the 50MP main camera with OIS, while in front is the 32MP selfie camera. Below the rear cameras are the AI Bio-Active Halo mini LED notification lights.
Lastly, it comes with the One-Tap Infinix AI (Folax), which the brand claims simplifies daily lives with AI-powered features such as AI Eraser, AI Studio, AI Wallpaper, AIGC Sketch-to-Image, and more.
We are excited to see what the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro can do and how the new AI features can make our lives easier.
Combined, its premium materials, fast charging, and display, among others, are a first in its class for under PHP 12K smartphones in the Philippines.
Apart from the NOTE 50 Pro, the NOTE 50 Series includes the regular NOTE 50 and the top-end NOTE 50 Pro+ 5G.
By the way, those who purchase the Infinix NOTE 50 series from official e-commerce stores launching on April 23, 2025, will get a FREE 1-year VIU subscription and exclusive merchandise from Infinix and Garena CODM.
