Meizu Note 16 Pro launched: SD 7s Gen 3, 144Hz OLED, 6,200mAh battery

Meizu unveils the Note 16 Pro with a fast and efficient chip, a large battery, and improved durability.

New affordable mid-range phone

The device offers a 6.76mm thin frame and features a four-curved 3D back cover, ultra-narrow bezels, and comes in Loud White, Light Boat Blue, or Star Chaser Gray. It has 1.8m drop protection, IP66/IP68 dust and water resistance, and TÜV SÜD "triple-proof" certification for ruggedness.

The phone sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and ultra-narrow 1.45mm bezels. It supports HDR10+, a variable refresh rate of 60 to 144Hz, and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. 

The features

It is powered by the 2.5GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 octa-core processor with an Adreno GPU. The device also includes a 4,466 mm² VC Liquid Cooling system for efficient thermal management.

It is paired with 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a further 12GB of virtual RAM, along with storage options of 256GB or 512GB.

The Meizu Note 16 Pro is equipped with a 6,200mAh battery with support for  USB-C 80W fast charging.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture, capable of recording 4K video at 30fps. For selfies, there is an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.05 aperture.

The device features stereo speakers for immersive listening.

The Note 16 Pro supports WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and dual SIM.

Finally, it runs on Android 15 with Meizu’s Flyme AIOS 2 overlay, offering enhanced software features and optimizations.

The phone is now available to order in China while the sale begins on May 16 (Friday). No word yet if this will come to the Philippines.
