Guinness World Record certifies realme GT7 with 24-hour battery life

realme GT7 clinches the Longest Marathon Watching Films/Movies on a mobile phone title from Guinness World Records.

Certified with a whole day battery life

realme has achieved this new milestone during the "Endless Power Journey" European cruise event, where the realme GT7 managed to play movies for a straight 24 hours, earning recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records.

Based on reports, the live stream event started in Rome at 6PM last May 22, with the video continued to play until May 23 at the same time. 

To recap, the realme GT7 boasts a MASSIVE 7,200mAh battery with USB-C 100W SUPERVOOC charging.

Moreover, realme's most recent white paper, "The Future of Battery Tech," developed with TÜV Rheinland, highlights the growing demand for longer battery life and faster charging. Traditional lithium-ion batteries are reaching their limits due to aging materials and slow charging speeds.

To overcome these challenges, realme has introduced innovations like its 320W ultra-fast charging system, which can fully charge a concept phone in 4 minutes and 30 seconds using magnetic-coupling DCX step-down technology. 

The company also optimizes battery lifespan and safety with AI-integrated BMS systems and multi-cell configurations.

Additionally, realme addresses concerns about large-capacity batteries (like 7,000mAh) being limited to slower charging (typically 80W or less) by pairing its GT 7 Series with 120W fast charging, enabling a 0-100 percent charge in just 40 minutes.

These advancements aim to improve performance, efficiency, and user convenience in smartphone battery technology.

realme also combined these large batteries and fast charging tech with a highly efficient 3nm processor, MTK Dimensity 9400+, thus allowing the device to last for more than a whole day.

Finally, the phone is set for a global release this coming May 27, 2025.
