itel A90 arrives in PH: Durable body, IP54 rating, 90Hz screen, starts at PHP 4,099

itel Philippines recently launched its newest smartphone in the country, called the A90.

Durable and affordable?

The new itel A90 promises to be a durable smartphone despite its affordable price tag.

It comes with IP54 of dust and water resistance

According to the company, it uses a "durable" body with drop resistance and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

The device is packed with a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a notch to house its 5MP front camera for selfies.

Key specs of the phone

Inside, the handset is powered by the 2.2GHz 28nm UNISOC T7100 octa-core processor with PowerVR GE8322. This is the rebranded UNISOC T603, which is a rebranded SC9863A chip from 2018.

It is paired with 3GB with up to 5GB Extended RAM (up to 8GB combined) or 4GB RAM with up to 8GB Extended RAM (up to 12GB combined), 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 15W charging.

At the back, it has a 13MP snapper paired with an LED flash.

This smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It runs with Android 14 (Go edition) OS with a promise of 36 months of 3 years of "lag-free" performance.
