Extra durable? New OPPO A5 and A5x priced in PH ahead of launch, starts at PHP 6,499
OPPO's newest listings at Lazada revealed that the A5 and A5x will launch in the country this June 5, 2025.

Full specs, features, and pricing of both phones are now up on the company's local website.
Both phones boast slim and stylish bodies, but with improved ruggedness. In particular, the two devices are packed with an IP65 dust and water resistance rating, a high-strength alloy frame, and reinforced glass.
The result of the two has military MIL-STD 810H and SGS Gold shock and drop resistance rating, ensuring that both phones would likely withstand accidents.

For specs, they are similar as well. Both the OPPO A5 and A5x feature a 6.67-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution, a 2.11GHz 11nm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 octa-core processor, and a 6,000mAh battery rated for 5 years of heavy usage (5 Years Durable Battery) with USB-C 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge with built-in temperature control that can fill it to 50 percent in just 36 mintues.
The two also have a single-speaker setup but can reach 300 percent volume.

In AI, both phones come with AI Eraser 2.0, AI Clarity Enhancer, and AI Smart Image Matting 2.0 for precise cutouts. It also has Outdoor Mode to boost brightness, sound, and network performance, and Glove Touch to ensure that the screen is responsive through thick gloves or waterproof cases.
The differences?
The OPPO A5x only has a single 32MP main shooter. The second camera-like ring is for the IR Blaster that its users can use to control home appliances. Meanwhile, the A5 uses a better 50MP main shooter paired with a 2MP monochrome depth camera.
For colors, the OPPO A5 arrived in Mist White and Aurora Green. The OPPO A5x comes in Midnight Blue and Laser White.
Note that this OPPO A5 is different from the unit with a similar name they released in 2020.
