vivo X Fold5 confirmed to launch on June 25

Following the initial teasers, vivo will introduce its latest foldable smartphone this month.

Will this be the world's lightest foldable?

Previously rumored to go official on July 10, vivo has now moved the launch event to a much earlier date, which will be on June 25, 2025.

The event will take place in China at 7PM Beijing time. Apart from the foldable, the brand will also introduce a new earbuds called the TWS Air3 Pro.

Previous leaks suggest that the upcoming foldable will have ultra ultra-lightweight design, surpassing its predecessor, and is expected to weigh under 219 grams.

Promotional posters also suggest it will have IPX5, IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ ratings, a 6,000mAh battery with a thinner body.

Additionally, we could also spot ZEISS branding on the phone's rear camera, indicating that it will also use lenses from the renowned German optics brand.

Some reports point to the device having up to an 8.03-inch main screen and a 6.53-inch outer display, both of which are said to use an 8T LTPO OLED panel.

Furthermore, the device is rumored to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage.
