The launch event, held yesterday at Midnight Dream Studios in Glorietta 1, gathered over 100 media professionals, influencers, and creators, including Farrah Espina, Liana of Art and Plan Studio, Karl Patacsil, Jo Escultura, and Gab Altonaga.
Attendees explored hands-on demonstrations across seven zones: livestreaming, podcasting, GRWM (get ready with me), unboxing, food content, lifestyle, and video editing.
With the rise of video-first platforms like TikTok, many Filipino creators still rely on smartphones, which can restrict video quality and creative flexibility. Canon aims to address this gap by offering dedicated cameras designed for digital storytelling.
Filipino creators have a strong enthusiasm for capturing life's moments and producing engaging video content, said Jian Liu, Canon Philippines Director for Consumer Information and Imaging. "With the EOS R50 V and PowerShot V1, they can enjoy a blend of portability, intuitive controls, and high-end performance. Whether they're vlogging, livestreaming, or making short films, Filipinos can now tell their stories more powerfully, thanks to the reliability and innovation Canon is known for.
To recap, the EOS R50V features a dedicated key for livestreaming. The brand also included a front-mounted recording button and side tripod screw slot for portrait recording.
