Thinner and smarter health buddy
The new wearables focus on advanced health monitoring and improved wearability. The new models feature a refined cushion design, making them the thinnest Galaxy Watches to date, while maintaining robust tracking capabilities.
According to Samsung, these smartwatches boast an 11 percent reduction in thickness over the predecessor thanks to their internal restructuring.

The Watch8 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes (Graphite/Silver), while the Classic offers a 46mm option (Black/White) with a rotating bezel.
These devices also feature the Dynamic Lug System to provide improved comfort and stability for precise health monitoring.
Furthermore, they sport 5ATM water resistance, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and a MIL-STD-810H rating to ensure durability and ruggedness despite their slim designs.

All three sports use the 3nm Exynos W1000 chip for better efficiency and speed. Meanwhile, the wearables have 2GB RAM and 32GB (Watch8) or 64GB (Watch8 Classic) storage options.
In terms of health features, the wearables have enhanced BioActive Sensor for a more comprehensive health tracking, new sleep apnea detection, Antioxidant Index measurement, Vascular Load Monitoring, and AI-powered Energy Score.
The connectivity features are WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), LTE (optional), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and dual-frequency GPS (L1 + L5).
The Galaxy Watch8 series runs Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch and features Google's Gemini AI assistant for voice commands. Compatibility requires Android 12.0+ devices with at least 1.5GB of memory.

The Galaxy Watch8 Series is now available for pre-order in the Philippines until July 31, 2025. While the general availability begins on August 1.
