Xiaomi launches CW500 and C500 that offer dual-lens coverage, starts at PHP 3,169

Xiaomi offers upgrades for your smart home system

With home security being more accessible these days, Xiaomi has launched its latest offering, the Xiaomi CW500 and C500 Dual Smart Cameras.

These latest home cameras provide dual-lens coverage and intelligent features, and were made to "meet the diverse needs of tech enthusiasts, busy small business owners, and families looking to watch over their loved ones and homes."

Both the Xiaomi CW500 and C500 feature a dual-camera system, which means users can monitor two different areas simultaneously from a single device.

Xiaomi CW500

Specifically, on the Xiaomi CW500, users can stream two live video feeds right from the Mi Home App. It also has 2.5K resolution and a large f/1.6 aperture. At night, its four smart white lights automatically turn on when someone’s nearby.

This can be horizontally panned and 95 degrees vertically through a smartphone, thanks to the dual-band WiFi 6.

Instant alerts will also be sent via the Mi Home App for human or vehicle detection, with automatic video recording.

CW500 has IP6an 6 rating, and has a built-in high-sensitivity microphone and speaker for two-way voice calls up to 10 meters.

Xiaomi C500

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi C500 is suitable for indoor setups. It has dual 4MP lenses, offering both a broad 110-degree ultra-wide angle perspective and detailed close-up focus with a smart PTZ camera (58-degree horizontal angle).

Its AI-powered dual cameras work together to track movement and give a split-screen view. The PTZ lens automatically zooms in and follows motion detected by the fixed camera.

The C500 also has AI-powered pet detection and tracking, and real-time crying baby detection with instant alerts. Furthermore, it packs enhanced infrared night vision without any disruptive red lights for clear visuals in the dark.

The Xiaomi C500 can also be mounted upright or inverted with the adjustable ceiling mount, and the screen can be rotated through the Mi Home App.

The Xiaomi C500’s dual-band Wi-Fi 6 allows for video playback and stable connectivity, as well as two-way voice calls. The camera can be easily controlled via both "OK, Google" and "Alexa" commands.

Both are designed for a quick three-step setup via the Xiaomi Home app (version 9.4 or above).
