One of the standout features of the Godox WEC is the lightweight construction, with the transmitter weighing 12 grams while the receiver weighing 16 grams. This design ensures seamless portability, allowing users to move freely without adding to their heavy gear.

The WEC captures unparalleled audio in an omnidirectional pick-up pattern covering a frequency range of 20Hz-20KHz and a maximum SPL of 110dB. It supports both mono and stereo modes for lossless sound reproduction. It is powered by an intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction technology, which should minimize ambient noise and produce crystal clear vocals even in challenging environments. It has a dynamic range of 86dB that should yield high-fidelity sound that is competitive with its rival.

It also features an adjustable ±6dB gain control, which allows users to fine-tune audio levels, maintain balance, and optimize across various settings. 

Each transmitter is rated for 8 hours of continuous use on a single charge and can be extended up to 24 hours when paired with the charging case. The case itself carries a 1,400mAh battery, which can recharge both the transmitters and receivers simultaneously. The devices are recharged via USB-C and should take two hours to top up.

Godox is boasting that because of the 2.4GHz frequency hopping transmission provides a maximum wireless distance of 200m (656 feet), maintaining audio integrity over vast areas. This extended range allows users to roam freely during events or field work.

It connects to other devices via the 3.5mm TRS or TRRS adapter cable for wider compatibility. The dual-channel receiver supports up to two transmitters, which makes it perfect for two-person interviews.

Lastly, it has an operating temperature from -10 degrees Celsius up to 50 degrees Celsius.
