The purpose of Smart's built-in video call service

Basically, this enables Smart and TNT subscribers with ViLTE-capable devices to make video calls without the need for a third-party app.

Using ViLTE, Smart and TNT subscribers can make high-quality video calls as easily as dialing a regular voice call.

Smart explains that ViLTE video calls are simply charged to the caller's voice subscription.

If you're on Unli 5G+, PowerAll (Smart), or SurfSaya (TNT), video calls now work seamlessly without needing third-party apps. As long as the caller has an active Unli Calls promo, the receiver doesn't need one.

Simply tap and connect, no extra steps required.

ViLTE also ensures stable connections even in crowded environments and is designed to be more battery-efficient.

How to activate ViLTE for Smart and TNT on Android?

  • Go to Settings and choose Mobile or Cellular Network
  • Enable VoLTE/HD Voice
  • Toggle ViLTE/Video over LTE/Video Calling to ON

Notem that both parties should have VoLTE and ViLTE enabled on their smartphones and be within Smart's LTE or 5G coverage to enjoy ViLTE calls. ViLTE also works on WiFi.

Smart also recommends updating Android devices to the latest software version and using VoLTE and ViLTE-capable smartphones from top manufacturers, including Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, ZTE, Infinix, Itel, Tecno, vivo, and Xiaomi.

This builds upon the launch of Smart's VoLTE service a few years ago. To recap, this technology enabled clearer, uninterrupted voice calls over LTE while maintaining simultaneous data connectivity.

Smart added that they are continuing to expand their 4G and 5G networks nationwide to deliver better overall mobile internet service.
