Pete Lau: OPPO Find X9 Series overseas sales skyrocket, nearly triple the previous generation

SVP & CPO of OPPO and Founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau, shared on LinkedIn that the overseas sales of the OPPO Find X9 Series have skyrocketed at nearly triple the previous generation (Find X8 Series).

He said this shows that there's a real demand for their innovations. AND, the company is looking to leverage this demand.

Here in the Philippines, OPPO only launched the vanilla version of the Find X9. It is an amazing-looking high-end smartphone priced at PHP 69,999 SRP equipped with refined aesthetics with IP69 dust and water resistance, 120Hz AMOLED screen with super-slim bezels, flagship MTK Dimensity 9500 SoC, massive 7,000mAh battery with SUPERVOOC charging, and Hasselblad co-created triple 50MP cameras at the back with up to 120fps 4K recording.

However, unlike other neighboring SEA markets and similar to the non-Pro Find X8 PH release last time, OPPO chose not to launch its more premium Find X9 Pro in the Philippines—a missed opportunity if you will ask me, as the device is a true world‑beater capable of competing with, or even surpassing, many flagship rivals.

Although Pete Lau noted that "these great numbers are set to grow with more international launches soon," we remain cautious about a potential Find X9 Pro release in the Philippines—at least until OPPO provides official teasers or announcements.
