OPPO reveals the Global winners of 2025 Photography Awards

OPPO has announced the global winners of the 2025 OPPO Photography Awards, its annual international mobile photography competition.

The true beauty of mobile photography with OPPO devices

The 2025 edition received close to 2 million entries from 87 countries, which the company states is the largest submission pool in the event's history. The winning works are scheduled to be displayed at a global finale event in Cairo, Egypt, on December 18, 2025.

"Through the OPPO Photography Awards, we aim to support creators, let their perspectives be seen worldwide, and inspire audiences to discover the extraordinary in everyday life—the true essence of 'Super Every Moment.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Winners

This year, ten photographers received Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards. The Gold Award was granted to Boooya for the series "Dialect – The Fading Voice," a project documenting dialect culture.

The jury noted its social significance, stating, "The disappearance of language is the disappearance of culture." The grand prize includes USD 25,000 (around PHP 1.47M) and OPPO flagship devices.

Person from Another Place, Silver Awards

Among the three Silver Award winners, Ray Cheung’s "Person from Another Place" was recognized. Judge Tina Signesdottir Hult described the work as "art,' noting its simplicity and emotional tone. The six Bronze Award honorees include Abdullah Salah’s "Timeless Framing," taken with an OPPO Reno14 5G, which captures a moment from the El Mermah equestrian tradition.

A competition judge commented on the overall standard, saying, "I’m impressed by all photographers’ remarkable control over the frame and rich spectrum of emotions their works evoked. It is a pure delight for me to experience all the entries, and almost hard to believe they were captured with a mobile phone camera."

Expanded Recognitions

The 2025 awards featured expanded categories, leading to 60 photographers being recognized across Category Awards, Honorable Mention, Audience’s Choice, and Regional Awards.

The submitted images depicted scenes from daily life worldwide, such as a couple in a subway, children playing in India, and a family during a Brazilian coffee harvest.

Mobile Photography as a Medium

The range of entries underscores the theme that everyday moments can yield significant stories. OPPO positions mobile photography as a means for personal expression and cultural preservation. The company credits its LUMO Image Engine for enabling natural rendering of light and detail in images.

Now in its third year, the OPPO Photography Awards functions as a platform for visual storytelling. In line with the "Super Every Moment" theme, OPPO states it aims to encourage creators globally to find noteworthy narratives in ordinary life.
