The new realme 16 Pro+ 5G is now official in India, the brand's newest camera-focused contender in the upper mid-range category.

According to the company, the realme 16 Pro+ 5G is equipped with the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor with OIS for stabilization. It's a new 1/1.56-inch sensor size and 0.5µm pixel size. This sensor is designed to produce bright images in low-light environments and offer improved overall image quality, despite its small pixel size.
This is the same sensor found on the telephoto shooter of the flagship OPPO Find X9 Pro.
The primary camera is paired 8MP 115.5-degree ultra-wide-angle macro and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto with OIS. Most mid-range camera phones only have 2x or 3x zoom. This has 3.5x.
realme also said that it has 7x lossless zoom, 10x long zoom for concert snaps, and 120x digital zoom.
Moreover, the phone has the LumaColor technology, which is certified by TÜV Rheinland for full-dimensional skin-tone optimization, fused optical bokeh, and light-shadow reconstruction.
realme also said that it has hair-strand-level boke as well as plenty of AI Portrait (AI LightMe, AI StyleMe) tricks.
For videos, it records 4K HDR up to 60fps for both the back and front cameras.

The realme 16 Pro+ 5G also features a glossy plastic frame with die-cast aluminum alloy hardware. The back cover is available in glossy plastic for the India-exclusive Pink or bio-based organic silicon (faux leather-like look) for the Master Edition variants.
realme said that the Master Design variants in Gold or Grey promise a "natural touch" for a more comfortable premium feel.
realme collaborated with respected Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa to construct this phone.
All models have a luxury metal camera deco, a metallic mid-frame, and zero edges with smooth texture on every point of contact.
For durability, realme also added an IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistance. The display is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 7i tech.
Speaking of the display, the device flaunts a massive 6.8-inch 4D curved AMOLED display with an extra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. With a crisp 2800 x 1280 resolution at 499 ppi, it promises sharp details. This has up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness, Netflix HDR support, and a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, it runs on the 2.8GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor paired with an Adreno GPU, the same chip found on the realme 15 Pro 5G.
The phone also has up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM + 14GB Dynamic RAM designed to handle apps with ease, while storage options of 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 provide fast read/write speeds, though non-expandable.
To keep everything running, it packs a huge 7,000mAh battery supported by 80W Ultra Charge.
According to the company, this has up to 21 hours of YouTube runtime and 9.3 hours of gaming.
The phone also has stereo speakers and 300 percent Ultra Volume.
The device also runs on Android 16-based realme UI 7.0 with a transparent design, improved smoothness, and Google Gemini Live.
realme claims that it has 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches.
