TECNO outs list of devices to receive HiOS 16 (Android 16) update

Through its official Facebook page, TECNO released the list of devices that will enjoy the HiOS 16 update.

TECNO has announced the schedule for the rollout of its HiOS 16 update, beginning with select models in the second quarter of 2026. The company confirmed that the CAMON 40 series will be the first to receive the new software, followed by the CAMON 30 series, including the CAMON 30S models, and the POVA 7 series in the third quarter.

The update will extend to the Phantom V Flip2 and V Fold2 in the fourth quarter of 2026. Additional devices slated for the update include the POVA Curve 5G and the POVA Slim 5G. While the current list covers several recent lineups, the company has indicated that eligibility is generally limited to devices released in 2024 or later.

TECNO HiOS 16 roll out

HiOS 16 was initially introduced at MWC 2026. The update features a redesigned interface centered on what the company describes as a "superfluidity" design language. Key changes include a restructured "Minus One" screen designed to centralize access to productivity tools, smart services, and AI-generated content features. The update also integrates translation tools directly into the interface.

The operating system includes an upgraded version of the Ella AI assistant, which now offers enhanced contextual awareness and proactive suggestions. New functionalities include assistance with managing daily tasks, integration with WhatsApp for reading and replying to messages, and the ability to summarize YouTube videos.
