A phone that grows taller?

Rollable smartphone concepts are not new. In fact, we even had an extensive hands-on with one of them in 2021 from OPPO. However, since then, no brand has mass-produced that type of technology into an actual retail product—probably because of high production costs and durability concerns.

But that one expands wider, what vivo has is a rollable smartphone that expands vertically, upward.

Based on the design, the phone will feature a display with curved edges on the front and back. It will come with an unspecified triple-camera setup as well.

In normal mode, it will look like a regular phone. When extended, the screen will grow taller to make room for more content.

This makes sense as most social media apps are optimized for taller screens, allowing creators to view things more easily.

For instance, when using apps, the virtual keyboard can take up a significant portion of the screen while selecting multiple items, making it difficult to clearly see the content you want to work with.

This concept might solve that issue.

Just note that this is still a patent, not an actual product. It is not even a concept yet.

There is no info about the rest of its AI-related features yet, and when it will launch.
