MWC 2026: Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro now official - 3.2K 144Hz LCD, Snapdragon SoC, and 9,200mAh battery

Alongside the global Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the brand also introduced its new Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro for the international market.

Two new powerhouse tablets!

Introduced in China in late 2025, the two new tablets are being positioned as light productivity devices in a thin form factor. Both models integrate with Xiaomi's smart hardware ecosystem and feature hardware and software updates designed for both professional and everyday use.

Both run Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 and features 5:5 vertical split view and a new 1:9 horizontal split ratio multitasking window management. It comes with a PC-level browser with support for mouse hover previews, right-click functionality, a robust toolbar, and an upgraded dock with quick access applications.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro in three colorways

The Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro measure 251.22 x 173.42 x 5.75mm and come in either Pine Green, Blue, or Gray colorways. The Pad 8 weighs 485 grams while the Pad 8 Pro weighs 494 grams.

Both models feature an 11.2-inch LCD screen with a 3,200 x 2,136 resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a 240hz stylus sampling rate. It supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and wet-hand touch. It is TUV low blue light certified and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Xiaomi Pad 8's key features

The Pad 8 comes with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 octa-core processor, Adreno GPU, 8GB LPDDR5X RAM/12GB LPDDR5T RAM, and 128GB UFS 3.1/256GB UFS 4.1 storage, and a 9,200mAh battery with 45W Turbo Charge via USB-C. It features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro's key features

The Pad 8 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite octa-core processor, Adreno 830 GPU, 8GB LPDDR5X RAM/12GB LPDDR5T RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage, and a 9,200mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge via USB-C. It features a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front-facing camera.

Around both tablets are four speakers and four microphones that support Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Noise reduction.

Xiaomi proudly advertises that it features Xiaomi's Hyper AI Integration to support interconnectivity and task transitions.

The tablet supports the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro. It is a 17.5g stylus with pressure-sensitive control and support for pinch and double-tap gestures. Both variants also support the Xiaomi Pad 8, Pad 8 Pro Focus Keyboard, and Standard Keyboards.

Other features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, Miracast, IPv6, fingerprint scanner, and IR blaster.

There is no word yet on Philippine availability and pricing.
