Apple schedules September 9 event: new iPhones, a foldable debut, and more

Greg "Joz" Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, confirmed that the company has scheduled a September 9, 2026 event.

New iPhones are coming!

At the Apple Newsroom, he said, "Surprise and shine! It’s almost time for the #AppleEvent on Wednesday, September 9," teasing the upcoming event.

The company hasn't mentioned what product it will introduce at the event, but traditionally, its September event is for the iPhones.

Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 18 Series, which may include the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Based on countless rumors, it might also finally launch its very first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra. This device is rumored to come with a wide 7.7-inch inner folding screen, 5.3-inch outer screen, two back cameras, and more.

Apart from the iPhones, Apple also usually launches its new watches in September. The Apple Watch Series 12 and Watch Ultra 4 are expected to be announced. A new AirPods may also make an appearance.
