Investments in energy‑efficient network infrastructure

According to the company, it saved over PHP 510 million through investments in energy‑efficient network infrastructure and expanded solutions that support smarter, more liveable cities in 2025.

In particular, Globe deployed 20,800 new energy‑efficient technologies last year to cut consumption across its facilities and network. They also utilized AI to help calibrate cell site energy use based on demand, while AI‑powered cooling systems optimize building operations.

Globe has also introduced storage optimization in its NFV environment, allowing unused servers to shut down automatically.

The company replaced lead‑acid batteries with more efficient Lithium‑ion and Sodium‑Nickel alternatives, while expanding renewable energy adoption and hybrid EV initiatives.

According to Globe VP for Risk and Property Management Raymond Aguilar, the company's Green Network and AI‑driven energy efficiency programs prove that sustainability and resource efficiency go hand in hand.

Globe says its Green Network, AI, and IoT solutions not only cut its own energy use but also help cities meet sustainability goals under RA 12009, driving cleaner, smarter, and more resilient communities.
