Data‑driven initiatives and more
This is a 39% year‑on‑year increase, which underscores its continuous strategy to expand networks, strengthen digital infrastructure, and deliver long‑term customer value.
The company remains on track to keep full‑year capex below USD 1 billion (around PHP 62.4 billion), balancing growth with financial discipline.
Globe said that around 91% of spending went to data‑driven initiatives, reinforcing the company's focus on capacity expansion, service quality, and nationwide connectivity.
Its capex represented 31% of service revenues during the period.
Globe also accelerated its 5G rollout, now covering more than 98% of Metro Manila and key Visayas and Mindanao cities, while extending coverage to at least 80% of the population in non‑key areas.
The results are already visible: Ookla Speedtest Intelligence recognized Globe multiple times between 2H 2024 and 1H 2026 for network consistency and 5G coverage, including four consecutive wins as Most Consistent Mobile Provider.
Globe's infrastructure push also supports national priorities on digital inclusion, strengthening the country’s digital backbone and enabling more Filipinos to thrive in a connected economy.
Globe's continued investments in network infrastructure are about more than expanding capacity, they are about delivering a better everyday experience for our customers and ensuring that more Filipinos can benefit from reliable, high-quality connectivity, said Carl Cruz, President and CEO of Globe. By strengthening our networks and extending our reach, we are helping bridge the digital divide and creating more opportunities for people, families, and communities across the country to participate fully in a more connected future.
