Galaxy Fold 8's UI

The update follows its earlier debut on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, and Z Flip8. It brings a more seamless mobile experience across device types, along with an enhanced version of Galaxy AI that Samsung describes as richer, more personal, and more helpful.
Capture, Personalize, and Manage
- My FanCam automatically tracks a selected person in a recorded video, keeping them centered as it reframes the footage in real time. The feature is designed to turn dynamic moments, such as a child's performance, a friend on the dance floor, or a highlight from a sporting event, into social-ready content with minimal editing.
- Generative and Editable Cards on Now Brief let users choose what appears in their daily summaries, including cards for health, weather, and video, so the brief reflects the information most relevant to them.
- Warranty and Care brings device support and protection directly into the Settings menu. Users can check warranty coverage across connected mobile devices, run self-diagnostics, view repair estimates, and manage Samsung Care+ or book a service appointment in just a few taps.
Do More with less effort

| Now Nudge |
- Now Nudge surfaces timely, context-aware suggestions across more parts of the Galaxy experience, helping users take the next step without interrupting their flow. For example, when making plans over text, users can pull up reservation details or save a shared location without leaving the conversation.
- Creative Studio now suggests image-generation ideas tied to upcoming events. If a friend's birthday is approaching, for instance, users may see a prompt to create a themed image or greeting for the occasion.
- Interpreter adds a new Thread View, allowing users to follow translated conversations more easily by referencing earlier exchanges. Faster translation in Conversation Mode and quicker playback with compatible Galaxy Buds also help reduce delays, making conversations feel more natural.
- Document Scan now allows users to digitize challenging materials, such as curved book pages and corner-folded papers, with less manual adjustment. Large-screen-optimized views on compatible Galaxy devices, along with an improved Finger Eraser, help produce cleaner, more usable scans.
- Voice Recorder now presents summaries in a clearer, more structured format, using headings and tables to make key information easier to scan.
Better security and privacy, more control
One UI 9.0 continues Samsung's approach to security and privacy, emphasizing transparency, choice, and control.

The brand says the latest updates are designed to help users understand when something may need their attention and to act more easily when it does.
- Security Brief adds key security and privacy updates, including alerts for malware, apps from unknown sources, and unnecessary permissions, to Now Brief, helping users spot potential issues earlier.
- Privacy Alerts use on-device AI to flag potential privacy risks, including unnecessary attempts to access permissions in the background, giving users greater visibility into how their information is being accessed.
- Scam Detection is expanding to additional countries and languages, extending protection against potential scam calls to more Galaxy users in supported markets.
