vivo X500 Pro launched: 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, 6.36-inch Q11 BOE OLED, 50MP Blueprint 900 OIS main camera

Apart from the vivo X500 and Pro Max models, the brand also introduced the X500 Pro as the middle variant in the series.

Compact yet powerful Pro device

vivo has launched the X500 Pro in China, offering the device in black, orange, white, and grey colorways.

On the front, the phone features a 6.36-inch Q11 BOE OLED screen with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support. The screen also carries Circular Polarization 2.0 and SGS Low Blue Light certification for eye protection.

Inside, the vivo X500 Pro is powered by the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro octa-core processor with G2-Ultra NX GPU. It is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB memory.

The features

The chip's NPU 1090 is capable of running mixture-of-experts AI models with up to 30 billion parameters directly on the device, which vivo is using to power features such as one-click highlight editing.

On the power front, the X500 Pro is equipped with a 6,510mAh battery, matching the capacity of last year's X300 Pro, along with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

The camera system is once again a centerpiece of the device. It uses a 50MP 1/1.28 Blueprint 900 OIS camera + 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera + 50MP Sony LYT610 3.5x telephoto macro camera.

It is assisted by the VS1 & VS3+ imaging chip assisted by, VCS 4.0 spectral technology, and deep-absorption blue glass. vivo also notes the BlueTouch 900 can achieve up to 17EV operational dynamic range.

For additional reach, the X500 Pro is compatible with an optional Zeiss G2 Ultra teleconverter, which extends the camera to an equivalent 400mm focal length.

On the selfie side, it uses a 50MP f/2.0 front camera.

Others mentioned are  IP68/69 ratings, stereo speakers, Hi-Fi audio, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity features are WiFi 7, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

For the OS, the phone runs on Android 17 with OriginOS 7.0 skin on top.
