TCL Philippines has introduced the 25P1AD, a 25-inch Full HD gaming monitor aimed at competitive and esports players.

According to TCL, the 25P1AD has a native refresh rate of 280Hz, which users can overclock to 300Hz through the monitor’s on-screen menu.

The features

TCL also lists a 0.5ms MPRT response time and says the monitor includes display features designed to reduce motion blur and make on-screen targets easier to see.

The monitor supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync, technologies designed to reduce screen tearing and stuttering. It also supports HDR, with a peak brightness of 400 nits.

The display

Meanwhile, the 25P1AD uses a high-speed IPS-type panel developed by TCL's display affiliate CSOT, which the firm says provides 178-degree viewing angles, fast response times, and stable color.

TCL entered the Philippine monitor market earlier this year. Maxi Chen, TCL's senior product manager, said the company aims to make advanced display technology more accessible to Filipino consumers, citing the combination of CSOT’s panel engineering and TCL's work in gaming performance.
