Huawei teased a new phone with 18:9 screen and dual cameras in Bohol

During our trip to Bohol few days back, Huawei Mobile Philippines teased the local tech media with an upcoming Android smartphone with interesting set of features.

Based on the prototype that Huawei showed us, its a beautiful looking smartphone with either a glossy blue or matte black paint finish at the back.

Modern and trendy 18:9 screen

In front, it'll feature a Nova 2i-like tall 18:9 screen with tiny side bezels and minimal top and bottom bezels. But, unlike the Nova 2i, this unknown Huawei smartphone only has a single camera in front.

Dual cam!

At the back, it'll come with a properly placed fingerprint scanner in the middle and a horizontally aligned dual camera setup with LED flash. The first sensor has the bigger lens while the second sensor is the smaller one. We also noticed that there's a small hole at the back which could be a noise-cancelling microphone.

Huawei's familiar camera UI

Based on the icons of the phone, this unknown Huawei handset yet is running with Android 8.0 Oreo OS with EMUI 8.0 skin on top.

Huawei promised us that they'll reveal the name of the phone together with the full specs and the rest of the missing details on March 5, 2018.
