Aside from the highly interesting Honor V8 w/ 2K screen and dual cameras, Huawei also announced the Honor Band A1 fitness tracker. This Mi Band competitor differentiate itself by providing a unique feature compared to your regular bands.

For starters, this fitness band has a body made out of metal with IP57 rating that makes it dust and water resistant up to 1 meter for 30 mins. As usual, it can measure your calories burned, exercise time, steps and sleep. This device also has LED notification and vibration to alert you from calls and messages.

It's compatible with both Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth 4.2 and has a 70 mAh battery capacity that's said to last for 28 days via standby.

The main highlight of this tracker is it's embedded with a UV sensor that can measure the level of radiation surrounding you and recommends to use the right sunscreen to protect you from harm.
It weighs 20g and comes with either silicon or leather straps. The Honor Band A1 will be released this May 25 in China with an SRP of USD 15 for the silicon straps and USD 30 for the one with leather strap. That's around 700 and 1,400 in Philippine Pesos out of straight conversion only. Of course, let's expect a slightly higher pricing if ever this one arrives here due to tax and duties.
