The Rugged Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Announced, Touts Bigger 4000 mAh Battery

The Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge are two of the most powerful in the world today that can fare well even with harsh conditions due to its IP68 rating. However, the South Korean giant isn't contented yet. They just announced the Galaxy S7 Active which is a fully rugged phone that has shatter resistance and bigger 4,000 mAh battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active still features most of the identical specs found with the S7 like the 5.1 inch QHD screen w/ Gorilla Glass 4 protection and an additional layer of shatter proof polycarbonate for better durability.


Under the hood, there's a Snapdragon 820 chip and 4 GB RAM. italso has 32 GB of storage that's expandable up to 200 GB, 12 MP main camera, 5 MP selfie camera, LTE connectivity and fingerprint scanner at the back.

Samsung also added an additional shortcut key above the volume rocker that can launch your favorite app when pressed.
