Cloudfone Excite Prime 2: Night Mode Camera Samples

In case you missed it, Cloudfone's newly released Excite Prime 2 is a powerhouse smartphone paired with "decent" back and front cameras for the masses.

Can it shoot well in lowlight?

As a matter of fact, Cloudfone has a new #AwesomeSelfie campaign to highlight the selfie shooting prowess of this device. It has an 8 MP f/2.0 front camera with portrait mode and softlight LED flash.

But, that's not the highlight of this article. Aside from taking great selfies, we just discovered that the 13 MP f/2.0 Sony IMX135 main camera of this device has its own "night" mode ala Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro.

We're not saying that it'll shoot better images than the Galaxy J7 Pro, a strong midranger priced at PHP 15,990. But, the Excite Prime 2 has tons of camera features that's not common in the sub PHP 6K space.

It has the chance to be the night camera device that the masses can afford.

It is best to ensure that your hands are steady or you have a tripod when shooting in night mode. It just have 5 seconds of delay as it takes multiple photos to stitch it into one.

The results? Promising! Most above PHP 10K phones will still beat its quality, but for its class, it is the best night shooter at the moment.

There are times that you'll get over-processed images that may look cartoonish and too noisy.

But, you may also get images that will show acceptable details, good exposure, and good vibrant colors.

Still very impressive for the price!
