With the PayMaya Qr, Ministop patrons can now shop without cash at hand. They now just have to scan the QR Code using the PayMaya app and payments are made in an instant. It is making transactions faster and more convenient for Filipinos.

Paolo Azzola, COO and Managing Director at PayMaya Philippines expressed his excitement on this development:

We’re excited that Ministop customers can now use PayMaya’s QR-based payment technology. With this initiative, Filipinos will not only have a delightful and convenient way to pay via QR, but it will also help place the Philippines ahead of the curve in growing a cashless, digital economy.

Thelma Roxas-Jacob, General Magaer at Ministop, also chimed in, stating this:

The future of retail is digital, and we’re glad that Ministop is the first convenience store to employ cashless payments with the help of PayMaya QR. This will definitely help bring a quicker, more secure, and hassle-free payments experience to customers within our stores.

PayMaya QR is the first of its kind here in the Philippines. This is bringing digital payment closer to the masses nationwide.

Both consumers and merchants can benefit from the PayMaya QR system. Consumers can now enjoy a faster and more efficient way of paying that translates to faster queues. Merchants can also have a more efficient system in place so that they can serve more customers and increase their sales.

Ministop is just the latest to adapt the PayMaya QR system. Smart Stores are also seeing an increased roll out of the same system across the country. Cashless cities such as Muntinlupa and Malabon are already enjoying this in commercial establishments and in PayMaya's partner school STI.

Azzola further added this:

Through our partnerships with merchants like Ministop, coupled with our aggressive campaign to encourage consumers to adopt digital payments via PayMaya, we are building a cashless ecosystem all around the country that will help propel the Philippines as a leader in the global digital economy.
