ASUS 8th Gen Intel Core laptops coming are to PH in late April!

In line with Intel's announcement of their latest 8th generation processors, ASUS announced their next generation of gaming laptops for late April in PH.

The new Zephyrus M!

It is truly an exciting time for gamers who want to get their gaming fix wherever they go. The newly announced processors from intel that we covered over this link here is major leap in performance from the previous generation.

Yet, Asus is not stopping with just the processors. They promise that all gaming laptops from here on out will have either a 120Hz panel or a 144Hz panel with 3ms response time.

But wait, there's more!

An example is their Chimera Laptop that was announced in 2017 but never reached Philippine shores. It is now updated with the latest 8th Generation Core i9 processor with up to 4.80GHz Turbo Boost, paired with an Nvidia GTX1070 or GTX1080 and 144 Hz display.

It still has the quad-vents with bio-armor design. It can now be configured up to the new Intel i9-8950HK processor, up to 64GB of RAM, up to 2TB OF HDD with 512 of PCIEx4 NVME SSD and up to an Nvidia Geforce GTX1080 with 8GB of DDR5X RAM.

It also sports 144Hz refresh rate with 100% sRGB IPS Panel with G-Sync. The keyboard is LED RGB backlit with ASUS RGB Aura Sync support that syncs with other compatible ASUS aura SDK.

Second is an updated version of the worlds thinnest laptop with a GTX 1080, the ROG Zephyrus GX501. It is now more powerful with Intel's Hexa-Core Core i7-8850H and the display is now a 144Hz refresh rate IPS panel with G-Sync. Like the Chimera, it supports the new AURA Sync. It even has a 1TB PCIEx4 NVME SSD option.


Building on the success of the original Zephyrus GX501, the new Zephyrus M GM501 is new variant with key changes like the central placed RGB keyboard with Aura Sync, a larger battery and the new Optimus Mode which allows the GPU to be turned off manually to increase battery life for more use.

It also features the new ROG infused Liquid crystal Polymers that increase fan size by 33%, airflow by 15% and fan blades to 71! This is accompanied by the Hyper Cool design with Duo-Copper Thermal solution, 12 volt fan and Anti-Dust Thermal tunnels for maximum cooling which allowed the new Zephyrus M to comfortably run and cool a full size GTX1070 inside its ultra thin chassis. 

It can be configured up to an Intel i7-8850 Hexa-Core Processor, 2TB HDD plus 512GB NVME SSD, 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a 144Hz IPS Panel with G-Sync.

The well loved ROG Strix GL503 gets an update as well with the new Intel Core i7-8850H Hexa-Core Processors, up to 32GB of RAM, 2TB of HDD and 512GB of PCIEx4 NVME SSD, paired with up to a GTX1070!

Like last year, it comes in two versions. The first is the Hero Edition which now features 130% sRGB IPS display paired with 120Hz refresh rate while the NEW Scar Edition upgrades it’s response time to a 100% sRGB screen.

It comes with either a  GTX1060 or a GTX1070 that can be upgraded to a 144Hz screen so that gamers can maximize the power of their GPU. The Strix GL series also feature the new 12V fan with Anti-Dust Thermal tunnels that was mentioned earlier. It also works with the new ROG Gaming Centre for the ultimate control.

Lastly, ASUS introduces the new ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop series FX504 which takes the FX series to a more gaming focused philosophy. The design is inspired by stealth craft and sharp edges in an all-metal body with red accents around the frame. It has a FHD IPS display with 120Hz IPS display. Inside is the Anti-Dust Thermal tunnels and Dual 12 Volt fans that insure maximum cooling efficiency and maximum life span.
