Canalys: Huawei hits record high of 27 percent market share in China (Q2 2018)

Canalys, the independent analyst company, just revealed the smartphone market data for Q2 2018.

Huawei hits record high of 27 percent of the Chinese market share

It revealed that the Chinese smartphone market is starting to recover. The data of Canalys also revealed the top brands in China.

It showed Huawei made gains. The Chinese tech giant has a massive 27 percent of market share in China. It's equivalent to 22 percent of YoY growth versus Q2 of 2017. 55 percent of shipments 

Huawei is followed by OPPO and Vivo respectively at number 2 and 3. OPPO grew by 3 percent which is equivalent to 21 percent market share. On the other hand, Vivo registered 30 percent YoY growth which is equivalent to 20 percent of the market share.

Next is Xiaomi at the number 4 spot. They got 14 percent of the market share or 0 percent growth. Apple is number 5 with 8 percent market share only.

The rest of the market got 18 percent only with negative 51 percent growth.

Overall, the over 104 million smartphones was sold in China. It is less compared the 113 million units sold last year.
